- I like you a lot : Mi piaci tanto
- I care for you (stronger than I like you a lot but not yet : "I love you") : Ti voglio bene, in text-messages it will be abbreviated as TVB.
- I’m falling in love with you (stronger than I care for you: being a lover yet not being engaged) :
- Mi sto innamorando di te / Mi sono innamorato di te
